Why register under a pseudonym?

New members are encouraged to register under a pseudonym, or penname, due to the great amount of confusion and disinformation that surround the topic of intelligent design. Members who use their real names may be subjected to disenfranchisement by individuals who are antagonistic to ID. See Expelled the movie and Richard Sternberg.
