The quick answer:
- Register/Login
- Go to the page you would like to change and click 'edit' tab at the top
- Make changes in the editor, then click 'Save page'

Images in text
A simpler way to include images as you type:
- Type the name of the image in wiki format [[Image:desired file name.jpg]]
- Save the page
- Click the red link, which takes you to the upload page with that name prefilled
- Click the browse button to select the file on your local disk
- Click the upload button.
Done!

Help with writing category introductions
The short descriptors at the top of category pages should be as brief as possible, having a maximum of 20 words.
Learn some wiki jargon
Setting user time zone
The setting for your user time zone determines the times that appear on the Recent Designs (Recent changes) page. ResearchID.org's server is set to GMT. You need to set your time settings in your user preferences. To do this:
- Login
- Click on the 'preferences' link at the top right of any page
- Click on the 'Date and time' tab
- Set your correct time zone
You may have to refresh pages to see the new times.
