Understanding & Interpreting IQ

IQBellCurveEinstein.gif

A general definition of intelligence should show the individual score for each intelligence characteristic. The most important characteristics are:

  • knowledge (K)
  • understanding (U)
  • volition (V)
  • foresight (F)
  • imagination (I)
  • awareness (A)

The average human score in each area can be assigned 100 points. Each individual score can then be multiplied together to form an all encompassing score. By multiplying, as opposed to adding the scores, a zero for any one single characteristic of intelligence will mean a zero overall score.
